Document Control Specialist

This full-time (40 hours/week) position provides administration, contract management, document control including file management (electronic filing), and other administrative duties as required to support a general engineering consultant. The position works in several client offices at or near downtown Orlando. Position requires candidate have reliable transportation. 

REQUIREMENTS: 

o Bachelor’s degree (B.S or B.A) or equivalent; or five (5) or more years of experience in document control with an Associates degree; 

o Excellent verbal and written communication skills; 

o Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel; 

o Proficiency with Microsoft Access;

o Proficiency with Microsoft Publisher preferred; 

o Detail-oriented, organized;

o Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team member; and 

o A "can-do" attitude with ability to perform assignments effectively and efficiently with a sense of immediacy, while maintaining high quality standards. 

LOCATION:

Orlando, FL area 

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Civil Engineer – Entry Level

REQUIREMENTS:

o Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or similar; 

o Engineering Intern (EI) preferred; 

o CAD software skills such as AutoCAD, Civil3D, MicroStation, and GIS software preferred;

o Good oral and written communication skills, confidence in representing firm at client meetings; 

o High proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Powerpoint, Word, and Excel; 

o Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects simultaneously;

o Proficiency with Microsoft Publisher preferred; 

o Detail-oriented, organized;

o Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team member;

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Roadway-Construction Inspector

REQUIREMENTS:

o High School Diploma or GED; 

o Valid driver's license; 

o Good interpersonal and communication skills;

o Ability to work collaboratively with others; 

o Must be able to consistently work full time (40 hours/week); 

o Experiece with BlueBeam;

o Minimum of 2 years total experience in roadway or bridge construction inspection; 

o Candidates must have some CTQP certifications - see details at www.ctqpflorida.com;

o CTQP Certifications preferred include:

• CTQP Concrete Field Inspector – Level I
• CTQP Asphalt Roadway – Level I
• CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection – Level I
• CTQP Final Estimates - Level I
• FDOT Intermediate MOT
• Nuclear Radiation Safety Certification

o Ability to obtain the following CTQP Qualifications as needed:

• CTQP Concrete Field Inspector – Level II
• CTQP Asphalt Roadway – Level II
• CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection – Level II
• CTQP Pile Driving Inspection
• CTQP Concrete Field Inspector – Level II
• CTQP Grout Technician – Level I
• CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection

LOCATION:

Positions beginning January 2018 for full-time construction inspectors that will be based at a roadway construction project site located in east Orlando area. Typical working hours are 8 hours per day (7 am to 5:30 pm) or as determined by supervisor. The potential for working overtime hours at time and half pay exists. Expected duration is about 15 months. Vehicle (truck), computer, and phone will be provided by company.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Daily reporting and documentation of construction progress including tracking quantities
• Inspection to document adherence to contract plans and specifications
• On-site field testing of earthwork and concrete materials
• Responsive to issues that occur in field
• Coordinate and communicate with Project Team
• Other project related duties as assigned by supervisor


COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Hourly Rate is up to $23.25/hour depending on experience and qualifications. Company currently pays 75% of medical coverage for individuals and families.
